Our next two‑day Family Group Conferencing / Family Group Decision Making Facilitator Training will be held September 10–11, 2026, and is open to anyone interested in building strong, family‑centered facilitation skills.

​This training is ideal for individuals working in schools, social service agencies, juvenile justice, behavioral health, and community programs who want to learn how to coordinate and facilitate effective, family‑driven meetings.

What This Training Covers

This training provides a comprehensive foundation in the principles and skills of FGC/FGDM facilitation. Participants will learn:

  • Strategies for building strong support networks
  • Preparing families for meaningful participation
  • Coordinating an FGC/FGDM meeting from start to finish
  • Exploration of FGC/FGDM use in schools, social service agencies, juvenile justice, behavioral health, and community settings

​Participants receive a full set of practical, ready‑to‑use materials designed to support real‑world facilitation. These include facilitator checklists that outline each step of the process, form samples used in FGC/FGDM programs, and planning templates that help structure preparation and follow‑up. You’ll also receive scripts and preparation guides you can adapt for your own agency or setting, making it easier to apply the model with confidence immediately after the training.

Continuing Education Credit

  • ​CLE credits (varies by state, please contact us)
  • CDRE (Kansas)
  • Self‑submission options for CE or CEUs for Counselor Continuing Education credits and NASW (National Association of Social Workers) CE credits​

Training Schedule

  • 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Central on Thursday and Friday, September 10-11, via Zoom

Registration & Fees

  • ​ Registration is open to individuals, agencies, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • $550 per participant
  • $475 per person for groups of two or more.​
